BLUFF

A game of drawing & doubt

Three know.
One is faking it.

The drawing party game for iPhone. Three of you see the secret object. One draws it blind. Add one stroke at a time, talk it out, then point at the faker.

How to play

A little drawing.
A little lying.

Four players, one drawing, twelve strokes. Every round takes a few minutes and ends with someone being very sure, and very wrong.

  1. 01

    Three know. One bluffs.

Three players see a simple picture and its word. The Bluffer sees neither.

  2. 02

    Make your mark.

Take turns adding one continuous stroke. Lift your finger to finish. Twelve turns in all.

  3. 03

    Read between the lines.

You get one extra peek while watching. When the drawing’s done, talk it out and vote.

  4. 04

    Caught isn’t finished.

A caught Bluffer gets one final object guess. Get it right and steal the win. A wrong accusation or tied vote lets the Bluffer win too.

  5. 05

    See it come to life.

After scoring, AI can turn your shared drawing into the real object, wonky proportions and all. It’s optional, and you choose once.

The Bluffer

No picture.
No word.
Draw anyway.

Everyone gets a card, and only you see yours. If yours is a question mark, you’re the Bluffer: make it look like you know. You get one more peek during the round, so watch the others closely.

BLUFF screen: Keep it to yourself. A card with a question mark reads You’re the Bluffer. No picture. No word.

One stroke at a time

Every line
is evidence.

Twelve turns, one continuous stroke each, every player in their own colour. Tally marks track the round. Hesitate too long, or draw a line that doesn’t quite belong, and the table will notice.

Talk it out

Spot the
shaky line.

When the drawing’s done, the table talks. Tap any tally to replay who drew which stroke, chat or use live room voice, then lock in one vote. Every vote is revealed at once.

BLUFF discussion screen: Who’s winging it? Stroke 6 by Maya highlighted on the drawing.
BLUFF vote screen: Who’s bluffing? Theo is selected.

Last chance

Caught?
Steal it back.

Getting caught isn’t the end. The Bluffer has seen the whole drawing by now, and one right guess at the object steals the round. Points stack up as tally marks, round after round, with a little less trust each time.

BLUFF result: Stolen at the last stroke. Theo was the Bluffer and guessed Teapot.
BLUFF scoreboard: Marks on the board, with tally scores for four players.
